Gaura lindheimeri and Gladiolus

Late last summer a friend of mine gave me a pot of Gaura lindheimeri that he could not use in his garden. I kept it in the pot until late fall and planted out in the new border behind the pergola. I thought I had neglected it too much but it is coming back very nicely. I was not familiar with this plant but it has very pretty pink and white flowers on long stems. They look like a flock of butterflies fluttering around the plant.

Today he brought me a bag of Gladiolus corms and I got them planted. I think they will look nice mixed in with the other perennials in this border bed.
